Pauline Allié & Sarah Duby
From May 14th to June 24th, 2023

EXHIBITION CONCEPT by Yuna Mathieu-Chovet

Sarah Duby develops an experimental photographic work. From her pieces on the relationship between light and perception, she gradually incorporates painting into her work. She is also interested in the sign from its visual vocabulary to go towards the text, the word as matter in transformation.

Pauline Allié’s writing is as much poetry as fiction. She publishes books, videos and sound pieces, and also presents her work in the form of readings and performances. She experiments with text, recently exploring different physical states, sensation and pain.

Together, they create a four-handed piece, drawing on their respective practices of visual art and text. They present photographs, painted objects and texts that will be manipulated, unfolded in space by the artists, in connection with a performed text. Together, they weave vocabularies and create scores that question our relationship to words and language, to meaning and narrative.
